#69-March 19, 2011

On this day, we headed to Liberty Station Park to celebrate JoJo's birthday.  JoJo is one of Alex's BFF's.  They have known each other since they were 3 months old.  It was our first time at this park, and we all had a blast.  Alex especially loves spending time with Dada.  Here is Dada pushing him on the swings.  Its a bad picture, but JoJo's Dada is also pushing her.  I love seeing Dad's with their little ones at the park.

On this day we headed to Seaport Village to meet up with my dad.  Alex LOVES his "Ampa" so very much.  It melts my heart to see the two of them together.  They are such buddies.  It makes me wish my own grandfathers were around when I was young.  Alex is lucky to have 3 grandpas, and each one adores him.  Here he is with my dad enjoying the view...tear....

Alex loves being outdoors.  He loves exploring, he loves nature, bugs, trees, plants, rocks.  He definitely takes after his dad.  On this day, we were hanging out in the front yard, when I came across a ladybug.  I wanted to show Alex, but was afraid he wouldnt be very gentle with it.  I was wrong.  He was so very careful with it. I am happy to say the ladybug lived to see another day.  Here is my boy and his ladybug

#66-March 14, 2011

I found this picture funny.  Alex has discovered the baby monitor camera in his room.  Here is what I see when he wakes up!

#65-March 12, 2011

Alex got a new T-Ball set from Auntie Melissa.  Here he is trying it out.

#64-March 11, 2011

Today we spent the day in Balboa Park, walking around with some friends.  This was the first time Alex has seen the fountain in front of the Reuben H Fleet at full force.  Here is pure toddler joy at seeing the water!

#63-March 10, 2011

Due to the generosity of some wonderful friends, Baby "Sadie" is now the proud owner of 17 pairs of shoes.  And she's not even born yet.  Spoiled girl :)

#62-March 9, 2011

Today we made our weekly trip to feed the ducks.  It was really warm out, so Alex took lots of breaks for water and snacks.  Here he is deciding between a mandarin orange and a cheese stick.  He's handing me the cheese stick back, LOL!

#61-March 8, 2011

Holy cow, Im a week behind.  Yikes!  Let me get caught up!
On this day, I took Alex to the Escondido Childrens Museum.  He had a really good time with his buddy Peepers.  It was actually a great place to take kids under 5.  And it was only $5.00.  Here he is admiring a giant bubble.  What kid doesnt like bubbles?

#60-March 6, 2011

I am a huge NASCAR fan, and I have always said I wouldn't make Alex like something just because I do.  Well, I put Nascar on the TV, and he stopped to watch.  He does enjoy watching the cars for a bit.  But it only holds his interest for a few minutes.  Its a start :)

#59-March 5, 2011

Today, we headed to Old Poway Park for our friend Audrey's birthday party.  Alex got to go on his first train ride.  He wasnt thrilled at first, but once it got moving, he was in heaven.  Here he is waiting patiently for the train to get moving...

#58-March 4, 2011

Today we went back to Queen Califia's Magical Circle.  Alex wasnt in the best of moods, he had been battling a runny nose for a few days.  We got there, and he decided the snake needed a drink of water.  He shared his sippy cup with him....

#57-March 3, 2011

Since Alex has hit the toddler stage, and wants to "help", I decided he needed a step stool to help him see the world from a new perspective.  Especially when I am in the kitchen, and he wants to "help"  So I bought him this contraption at Target.  He LOVES it.  Here he is watching daddy cut up lemons to make lemonade.

#56-March 2, 2011

Alex goes through crayons like it isnt even funny.  He doesnt use them up, he likes to break them in half.  Then he gets mad because he cant grasp them to color.  I even bought the toddler, fatter crayons.  The genius broke those too.  Then I got a bright idea to buy some Dollar store crayons, since he goes through them so fast.  Well, those dont even show up on paper.  So I had to break out my own box of crayons to share with him.  He hasnt broken a single one since.  But he does enjoy pouring out the entire box when he colors.

So in my spare time, I play Zuma Blitz on Facebook.  Every week, I normally come in 2nd place, right behind a wonderful friend who always kicks my ass and makes it look easy.  Well, they start the new game each week at 11:00 pm, on Monday nights, so I stayed up and made sure I got the high score before I went to bed that night.  Im sure Joanne came on right behind me and once again kicked my ass.  But for a brief moment, I was #1!!

#54-February 28, 2011

Today, we met up with one of Alex's lady friends at the Wild Animal Park.  It was a beautiful day out, and we always enjoy the company of Peepers and her mom Alison. They have a huge hot air balloon type ride there at the park and Alex was entranced by it.  We stood and watched for a few minutes while it took people up in the air.

Okay, technically I didn't take this picture.  But it was the happiest moment of my day, so I had to post it, since I wasn't exactly in Phoenix when it happened.  Here is my favorite NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, breaking his 66 race winless streak.  WOOHOO!!  24 rules!

#52-February 26, 2011

Another rainy day in Sunny San Diego.  Alex really hates being cooped up.  So I broke out the new rainboots and let him take a walk in the rain, even though it was also extremely freezing outside.  The things we do for our kids.  He really loves his new boots!!

#51-February 25, 2011

Never trust a toddler to hold your cupcake on the ride home. Hehe.  No really, he only licked the frosting off.  Then he handed me the cupcake with a smile. For the record, he already had one of his own.  No fair eating the pregnant mama's cupcake!

#50-February 24, 2011

Im a little slow to post these days.  Here is Alex after I tortured him with a haircut.  Apparently, having your hair cut is the equivalent to walking on hot coals with no shoes on.  Even if you get a lollipop.  It just makes you more angry because throwing the tantrum means hair on the lollipop. Then you cant eat it.  Ahhh...toddlers :)  Anyway, here is my big boy, being pouty.
